Today is payday. Kind of a fun day for me being a geek when it comes to our finances. I balance the checkbook, reevaluate our upcoming expenses and throw extra money at our debt.

Our debt consists of two vehicle loans (no more credit card debt!). Today two payments totaling $691 were applied. Here is where the money went: (these are our car payments, so ya might want to sit down before you take a peek at them. They aren’t for the faint of heart.)

$186 (half of the regular monthly Mustang payment of $368)

$505.11 Ford F-150 payment

AND! because this is one of those crazy 3 paycheck months we had an extra $1,000 to throw at the Mustang debt. (My hubby gets paid every two weeks, so 2 months of the year we get an “extra” paycheck.)

Grand total: $1,691 that went towards debt

I still have to finish working the budget and checkbook so I think I might be able to squeeze out a little extra money this paycheck to throw at the debt.

The older kiddos just came home from home school so I’m off to spend time with them. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
