If you are anything like me life is busy and you tend to forget about things. I often hear about things and think “Oh-I should do that” only to completely forget about it a minute later and completely miss out. Here are a few things happening this week you might be interested in.
- Got Diamonds? Did you buy any diamond jewelry between 1994 and 2006? You might want to see if you qualify for this. If you want to be included in the DeBeers class action settlement you must file by May 19th, 2008. You can file online. The settlement includes:
“All persons located in the United States who purchased any diamond or diamond jewelry or other products containing gem diamonds for personal use and not for resale between January 1, 1994 and March 31, 2006. For example, Consumers include people who purchased diamond jewelry to wear or to give as a gift. “
We are part of this group and intend to file. I’ve found 2 receipts so far. All that is missing is the receipt for my wedding band (it has small diamonds in it). The example the website gives is if you bought an engagement ring for $2000 you’d get about $640 back from the settlement. Of course how much is actually paid all depends on how many file a claim for the $272 million that will be awarded.
- Mmm…Chicken! Tomorrow (Thursday, May 15th) Mickey D’s is giving away either a FREE Southern Style Chicken Biscuit or Sandwich with purchase of any medium or large drink.
- Need Coffee? Head on over to Dunkin’ Donuts for Free Coffee Day. From 10 am - 10 pm on May 15th they’ll be giving out Free 16oz. Iced Coffee! Pick their regular flavor or any of their other flavors.
- Get Your $25! And, last but not least, make a little extra moolah ($25 to be exact) by opening up an account with Revolution Money Exchange.
Revolution Money Exchange is similar to Paypal, but better because no fees are taken out when you send money. I have bought and sold on ebay before so I’ve used paypal a lot. It always stunk to see Paypal take out so much money in fees. Registration took me about 3 minutes to complete and the $25 bonus is already in my account. So far reviews have been great and I hope to see this service catch on.
The $25 bonus ends TOMORROW, May 15th. One account per person is allowed, but you can refer your friends, family etc. and get $10 for each referral (up to $500).
- And one more reason that “Cash is king”!
Have a good day ya’ll!
