Tax Rebates for Senior Citizens too?

raymondritchie asked me the following question about the tax rebates:

what about the seniors who is on fixed income. we pay taxes on fuel and all other things too. we really need help too…

He brought up a really good point. And I feel terrible that I hadn’t noticed that seniors living mainly on Social Security would be left out of the economic stimulus package and would not receive any rebate.

I found this article and it looks like the Senators are working on changing it to include 20 million senior Americans(the tax rebate plan still has to pass the Senate). Nothing definitive has been decided yet though.

  4. My parents worked over 20 years in New York and decided to retire to Puerto Rico. Are they eligible to receive Senior tax rebates? and what form are they to fill out? I would really appriciate it if you can help me find a location where to anser thers questions….
