How Ironic. Do You Ever Feel This Way?

I was just taking a peek at my blog stats before I went to sleep and saw that someone Googled “staying motivated to get out of debt” and the search results returned Working For Financial Freedom. Of all days I find it ironic that someone would visit my blog today looking for motivation when I myself am looking for the same thing.
Let’s see… we have a a huge move only months away, a retaining wall project we will start this weekend and countless other things we have budgeted for to prepare to sell our house. Car rental reservations, plane tickets, car repairs, sell the mustang, sell the house..and on and on it goes…
I feel like I’m on financial decision overload.
I know that we are making progress and have paid off quite a bit this year. We are still on track with our original goal date. It’s just the closer we get, the less patient I get and I want to get it pay it off all now. Right now.
So, no, I’m not losing focus on our goal. There is no danger of me going out and charging a brand new flatscreen TV this weekend; or booking an appointment for a massage and facial or anything crazy like that. But I feel weighed down because of the million and one financial related decisions and tasks we need to accomplish over the next 3 months. Not sure if my “gazelle intensity” will be able to keep up.
Not without a huge pot of coffee by my side that’s for sure.

Hang in there … it is consistency that will get you to your goals.
Maybe you need to be a turtle for awhile … Wasn’t it the turtle that wins the race in the long run anyway!
