Well. We did it. Hey, where are the trumpets, cheering crowd and balloons & streamers?

We paid off the VISA this morning. $0. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

Now we have the cars to pay off, and it looks like we are going go take the plunge and sell the pony by Thanksgiving. (pony= Dh’s mustang) That should really speed things along.

We are planning on moving to California in the spring. DH will stay with the same company, just different location. We want this move because of family (long story, but for a later time) and are willing to take the sacrifice to do it. (ie. smaller house etc…) But now that it’s getting closer I really need to get the ball rolling and start pricing movers, exploring our options etc… So I feel like my mind is spinning a million miles an hour, but not actually getting anywhere. Hmmm…kind of like we used to be about paying off debt.

  2. Congratulations, you are now my hero :) Seriously, I think you’re doing a great job, I keep telling my partner how you’re doing to try and force him to get onboard with our situation.

  6. Clairec23,
Just give him time. My husband was a little bit skeptical at first, but after he looked at our budget, and he read The Total Money Makeover he’s realized how much this will help us (both now and for retirement). It’s so much easier when you are both on the same page.

    Lynnae,
Thanks! It feels good to have it gone, but I still feel like we aren’t even halfway up the mountain yet.
